Inspiral is a high class filly who has showcased her talent as a top-class miler. She made a stunning reappearance at the Royal Ascot meeting in 2022, winning the Coronation Stakes.

In August of the same year, Inspiral further demonstrated her capabilities by triumphing in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville.

Although she encountered a setback in her final outing, finishing fifth in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes over the same course and distance, it’s important not to overlook her true potential. If Inspiral returns to her best form, she will undoubtedly be tough  to beat in the Queen Anne Stakes

Asadna is a colt by Mehmas, purchased for €62,000 as a yearling and 160,000 gns as a 2-year-old. He showed great speed and won his debut at Ripon by 12 lengths, making him a strong contender on the clock but this is all together different challenge.

Bucanero Fuerte is a colt by Wootton Bassett, bought for €165,000. He is the brother of Wooded, a talented winner up to 7f, including the Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp, and Beat Le Bon, a successful 6f-1m winner. Bucanero Fuerte impressed in heavy-ground maiden race at the Curragh (5f) in March, indicating he should not be underestimated and looks the each way value.

River Tiber  is another colt by Wootton Bassett, purchased for 480,000 gns. His dam is a half-sister to Mister Manannan, a skilled sprinter. River Tiber made a striking debut at Navan, winning by 10 lengths, and confirmed his potential by defying a penalty at Naas. The yard has won this race a record 9 times and looks the one to beat.

Fandom trained in the US, is a colt by Showcasing, purchased for 170,000Y. He is the half-brother of Bro, a 6f winner, and his dam is a 2-year-old 7f winner and a half-sister to Lezoo, a successful 2-year-old 5f/6f winner. Fandom dominated an 8-runner maiden race at Keeneland, winning by an impressive 6¾ lengths. While expected to progress and win more races, this competition will be more challenging to dominate.

Leading Contenders:

Bring On The Night, a lightly-raced horse previously trained by Andre Fabre in France. Finished as a fine second in this race last year and looks to have been the long term target once again. With a strong record from the stable in this race and jockey Ryan Moore in the saddle once again he is the one to beat however he is plenty short enough.

Ahorsewithnoname lightly raced 8 year old, he secured victories in 2m handicaps at Newbury and York last spring. Coming into this race after a 2m4f hurdles win at Cheltenham in April. Another from a top jumps yard who is highly respected, especially with jockey William Buick aboard.

Law Of The Sea showed promise for the Gosden stable, however looks to have improved for new surroundings and a step up in trip for new connections. He finished fourth in the Chester Cup and then was the runner-up to Solent Gateway in a 2m handicap at Haydock. Ian Williams yard has a good track record in this event and should go well.

Zinc White made notable progress as a 14f winner for Ralph Beckett in the shortened 2021 season. Switched to Ian Williams since and despite being sent off at odds of 33/1, he made a strong comeback on his yard debut after a long absence, easily winning a 2m2f Chester handicap in May against Novel Legend.8lb rise and a tougher race will make things tougher but he is not without his chance with more progression to come.

Buckaroo  talented colt who won a 1m listed race upon his return and came close in the Group 1 Prix d’Ispahan last month, fading late in the race. Has not races much experience so could have more to offer and this is easier than races been competing in recently.

Saga narrowly missed out on victory in last year’s Britannia Stakes. Solid enough return at Newmarket recently and would be a very popular winner given connections.

Francesco Clemente is a highly progressive 3-year-old, having won all three of his races, including a convincing victory in a Newmarket handicap over this distance in July. He lost his unbeaten record to King of Conquest upon his return at Goodwood, with the latter displaying more experience, receives a 3 lb weight advantage in this race and will be equipped with headgear.

King of Conquest has shown significant improvement this season, winning large-field 9f handicaps in Bahrain and at Newmarket (defeating Saga). He recently battled admirably to edge out Francesco Clemente in a listed contest at Goodwood over this distance. Should be in the mix once again.
