Pearls And Rubies Made an impressive debut in a 5f Navan maiden two weeks ago. Although she showed some inexperience at first, she quickly adapted and finished the race strongly. Well bred by  No Nay Never and  she is considered a highly talented prospect looks the one to beat in this race.

La Guarida Closely followed Jabaara in a highly competitive event at Newmarket on debut. Just a week later, she secured an easy victory in a 6f Goodwood fillies’ maiden, defeating three subsequent winners. Form looks solid and a player

Nemonte Good pedigree with plenty of stamina, made a winning start in a 6f maiden at the Curragh a month ago. Not sure what the level of that form was but she did it well and looks a fair price with more to come.

Snellen Demonstrated her potential by winning a barrier trial before making a successful debut in a 7f maiden at Limerick, despite exhibiting some wayward behaviour by veering left towards the end. Will have learnt plenty from that experience and interesting runner for the yard.

3:05pm: Jersey Stakes (Group 3)

The Jersey Stakes is a Group 3 race held at Royal Ascot, specifically for three-year-old horses. The race is contested over a distance of seven furlongs (approximately 1408 meters). It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 24th June 2023, at 3:05 pm. In the Jersey Stakes, previous Group 1 or Group 2 winners are given a 5-pound penalty, while Group 3 winners carry a 3-pound penalty. This weight allocation adds an additional challenge for the more accomplished horses, levelling the playing field for all participants. The race often attracts horses that have previously competed in the 1000 Guineas or 2000 Guineas but may not have been able to stay the full mile distance. The drop back in trip to seven furlongs provides them with a more suitable opportunity to showcase their abilities. Over the years, the Jersey Stakes has seen some notable winners, including Zilzal (1989), Observatory (2000), Proclamation (2005), Ribchester (2016), and Expert Eye (2018). Covey  Son of Frankel and is improving in leaps and bounds. He has built on a pair of maiden/novice wins with a commanding victory (well backed) on his handicap debut at Haydock (1m) four weeks ago,  shaken up around 2 furlongs out and took command of the race. Artorius Smart performer in Australia and showed his best form when victorious in a Group 1 race at Randwick (6.5f) in March. He came close in this event last year and should make another bold bid this time around, obvious claims.

Big Invasion  has been a prolific performer in the US and ran impressively when stepping up to this level, finishing as a runner-up in a Grade 1 race at Belmont (6f) just two weeks ago. He displayed a strong late surge, making up ground from much further back compared to the other contenders. With potential for further improvement he looks the value currently.

Hukum  is a very smart and likeable horse who achieved his first victory at the highest level in the Coronation Cup at Epsom (1½m, good) last June. He made his first appearance since then and claimed the scalp of last year’s Derby winner, Desert Crown, in the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown (1¼m) last month. The one to beat.

Free Wind a highly talented mare who has won 6 out of her last 7 starts. In her latest outing, she defeated Rogue Millennium, the Duke of Cambridge winner on Wednesday, in the Group 2 Middleton over 1¼m at York. A return to a longer distance will be to her advantage, could have more to come and looking to give Frankie a fairy tale finish.

Changingoftheguard  narrowly defeated Grand Alliance to secure a victory in the King Edward at this same meeting last year. After that, he wasn’t seen again until a respectable third-place finish in the Group 2 Ormonde at Chester (13f, heavy) last month. He faded in the closing stages after being prominent throughout the race. Will need to show more to trouble the front 2 but top connections wouldn`t be wasting sending him over if did not think was back to best.

Leading Contenders:

Albasheer (IRE): useful 7f winner when trained by Owen Burrows, but he has yet to find his form in two runs for his current stable. He wore cheekpieces in his latest outing, finishing seventh out of nine runners in a Listed race at Salisbury (6f) 28 days ago. Now, with blinkers for his handicap debut and could just be the type to suit Jamie Spencers style.

Fresh very good record at this venue and secured two valuable 7f victories last summer. Although he finished 19th in the Victoria Cup here last time out, he should still be considered as he is now easing in the weights for a jockey who rides the straight course here excellently.

Orazio  lightly raced 4-year-old who comes into this race on an upward trajectory. He achieved an impressive win at Newmarket in April and followed it up with another triumph over the same course and distance the following month. Despite a 9 lb increase in the weights, still appears to be ahead of his current mark.

Khanjar  won twice over 6f in 2022 and showed a return to form with a second-place finish in a handicap race at Hamilton (6f) just 16 days ago, particularly considering he had a slow start and was not ideally positioned. With the addition of cheekpieces for the first time, there is a possibility of improvement, and a bold performance is expected.

5:35pm: Golden Gates Stakes

The Golden Gates Stakes is a handicap race run over a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs (2000 meters) at Royal Ascot. Here are some details about the race: The Golden Gates Stakes is scheduled to take place at 5:35 pm on Saturday 24th June 2023. It is a handicap race open to three-year-olds and is contested by a large field of runners. The race is named after the Golden Gates, an iconic entrance to the Royal Ascot racecourse. Only 3 renewals to date.

Leading Contenders:

Obelix concluded his 2-year-old campaign with a victory in a 1m AW maiden at Newcastle. However, on his reappearance in April, he could only manage an eighth-place finish out of 11 runners as the second favourite in a 1m listed race. Now stepping up in trip for his handicap debut after a break, cheekpieces have also been added type to go well at a price.

Knockbrex Convincingly defeated two subsequent winners in a Pontefract maiden (1¼m, heavy) in April and then faced Queen’s Vase winner Gregory in his next start at Haydock. On his 1½m handicap debut at York, he took the lead too early and finished fourth. Form looks solid and will be looking to give Frankie Dettori his final Royal Ascot winner.

Have Secret  showed progress with each start last year, winning nurseries over 7f at Haydock (good to firm) and 1¼m at Nottingham (heavy). In his reappearance run last month, he put up a good performance, finishing fourth out of 14 runners in the highly competitive London Gold Cup at Newbury should be thereabouts

Canute  may have his quirks, but he recently secured his first victory with some room to spare in a handicap race at Navan over 1¼m on good to soft ground, just 13 days ago. More to offer and should be involved.

Royal Ascot Betting Tips: Have Secret
