2.50 Market Rasen Hang In There 7/1 UniBet each way

Successful here over fences and if they don`t go too quick in front early then Hang In There looks a fair price here against the short price Henderson runner. Relishes quick ground and this time off year and showed when finishing second back over hurdles at Aintree last time that he can be competitive of this mark.

3.10 Thirsk  Talamanca 6/1 William Hill each way 

Plenty who like to track the pace here which might just result in Belisto and the selection Talamanaca getting a nice early position from there low draws. 6f on quick ground are his conditions with all 3 career victories coming under such conditions. Has had a couple of months break so arrives here fresh and has gone well enough after a small lay off previously. Richard Spencer could be in better form but his numbers don`t compensate for a good few that he has been running looked to have been unfancied.

4.30 Brighton Spirit Warning 7/2 Bet Goodwin

Girl In The Picture and Rivas Rob Roy are proven course and distance winners who arrive here in good form so have to be respected however Spirit Warning went into the notebook when returning with a promising effort here over CD last time after a lengthy break, Pat Cosgrave is a positive jokey booking for a yard who are not in bad form currently and enjoy having a Brighton winner.

4.55 Bath Grand Duchess Olga 8/1 Unibet each way

Very moderate stuff this.7 time ran maiden Book Of Tales heads the market, he is starting to look exposed already in handicaps and the blinker will need to work the magic. Queen Of Steel ran well enough last time on her first try in handicaps but will need to back that up and has no depth to any of her form. Grand Duchess Olga is a risky one as didn’t really show much on handicap debut however she showed enough on her first 2 starts to think a mark off 55 would be workable. Steps up in trip again, yard going well, blinkers on and interesting David Probert keeps the faith.

7.35 Goodwood Royal Dress 5/2 Bet Goodwin Next Best

The race could be set up for nicely for Royal Dress who could just be able to track the likely pace angle in Kensington Angel. It`s best to ignore last time out when chasing a too strong a pace and a reproduction of her Chester effort in a stronger race than this should see her thereabouts. Her capable jockey also claims 5lb which could make all the difference.

8.10 Goodwood The Thunderer 3/1 

Again, tactics could be crucial here and despite the small field this could be run at a decent clip with the likes of the fancies Age Of Sail expected to want to get on with things. The Thunderer looked to win with plenty in hand last time out for new connections and could have more to offer this season.

9.00 Haydock El Jasor 4/1 Nap

Jamie Spencer goes to Haydock this evening for one ride in the last race of the day on El Jasor which is a tip in itself. Makes his handicap debut off a workable 75 based on his one run last year and his 2^nd place effort at Windsor.
