15:15 Goodwood – Spanish Star
Will have needed this and wasn’t knocked about. Drawn away from the action, has another good race in him. Won this race last year and warmed up nicely for a repeat when a good fourth on his Newbury reappearance. Yard among the winners. Leading claims in this race again.

15:35 Newmarket – Bold Style
Was on the worst of the ground and then not knocked about. Built on promising Wolverhampton debut when readily going one better at Chelmsford in December. Further progress when third over this C&D on recent turf debut. Probably capable of better still.

Trainer and jockey have a 50% strike rate here at Newmarket and looks interesting back from a break.

Trainer does well with runners stepping into handicaps and this looks a workable mark.
