After a scintillating Hard court start of year we saw some great tennis and emotions with Novak Djokovic starting the year with winning the Australian Open and reaching Rafael Nadal‘s 22 Grand Slam wins. Unfortunately the great Serb was not very active thereafter with the US restrictions still in place giving the opportunity to Daniil Medvedev to be the main protagonist in the coming months with multiple tournaments wins in the middle east (also beating Djokovic in his winning run at Dubai) and the US. We also got to see World number 2 and teen sensation Carlos Alcaraz show why the world believes he is the next big thing with his dominating win at Indian Wells and only losing in the Semi at Miami to another youngster to look out for during the Clay court season that is Jannik Sinner.

Maybe the most exciting news out of them all is that we will see the return of the Clay court king Rafa Nadal as he has been back in training on the Clay and looks to be fit for another legendary run. The question is will we see any other players make good runs? Stefanos Tsitsipas has not been on the greatest form recently but always raises his game on clay so he is worth looking out for. Also could it be the time that Dominic Thiem find his form back after struggling to do so after his lengthy injuries? Alexander Zverev is starting to show some glimpses of a return to form after his terrible injury at the French Open, and some good results will not be a surprise.
