After an exciting round of fixtures in the English Premier League opener last weekend with last season’s top four sides all kick starting their season with a win, we take a look at what we did expect ahead of game week two for some more Premier League predictions, and Premier League Scores.

Premier League Predictions for Week 2 of the 2023-24 Premier League season

Nottingham Forest Vs Sheffield United

18th August, 20:00 GMT.

Nottingham Forest begin week two with a home fixture against newly promoted side Sheffield United at the city ground on Friday night.

Steve Cooper’s men fell to a 2-1 (Premier League Scores) defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates last Saturday, a game which saw a late goal from talisman Taiwo Awoniyi shortly after the striker came on from the bench had been a doubt for the week one fixture.

Awoniyi’s return from injury will be a big boost for Nottingham Forest who look to begin their campaign at home on a winning note against Sheffield United who lost at home to Crystal Palace 0-1 in their first league at the top-flight since the 2019/2020 season.

Fulham Vs Brentford

After coming off the back of an impressive away victory against Everton last weekend, Fulham looks to top their away performance at goodison park with an win against stubborn London rivals Brenford who drew 2-2 (Premier League Scores) Vs Tottenham Hotspur at the Brentford community stadium.

Fulham will be without their top nine Alexander Mitrovic as the Serbian is close to joining Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal on a permanent deal with Mexican forward Raul Jimenez who recently joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers to take his place in the starting XI.

The last three meetings between both teams have all ended in a 3-2 scoreline with Fulham winning the last two home games against the bees whilst scoring three goals in the process.

Liverpool Vs Bournemouth

Liverpool did not have a dream start to their 2023/2024 Premeier league season as the Reds where held 1-1 by Chelsea at Stamford brigde.

All through, Jurden Klopp will be happy to have Thiago back in his side again as they welcome a Bournemouth team who had to fight for a point against West Ham United at the Vitality stadium on week one.

Liverpool thrash Bournemouth 9-0 (Premier League Scores) in this same fixture last season and the reds will hope to use the anfield factor to their advantage on Saturday afternoon.

Wolves Vs Brighton

Wolverhampton Wanderers despite having 23 shots against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night ended on the losing side as Garry O’Neil began his Managerial journey for the club based in Wolverhampton with a defeat.

They welcome a high-flying Brighton and Hove Albion side who defeated EPL debutants Luton Town 4-1 (Premier League Scores) to Molineux in the third game of Saturday’s 3pm kick off fixtures.

Brighton have prevailed over Wolves in their last three head to head meetings with their last fixture saw Roberto De Zerbi’s men winning 6-0 at the Amex.

Luton Town Vs Burnley (Postponed)

Due to Luton’s stadium still being under renovation, the fourth game on Saturday’s goal rush, which pitted Luton Town against Burnley, was postponed.

Tottenham Hotspur Vs Manchester United

In the most anticipated game of week two, Tottenham Hotspur will play host to Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Australian coach Ange Postecoglou’s first home game in England.

Tottenham Hotspur played out to 2-2 (Premier League Scores) draw against London rivals Brentford in game week one while Manchester United held on to a nervy 1-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers at old Trafford.

Manchester United have a 67% win rate against Tottenham in their last six meetings as Tottenham could only get a win and one draw against the Red devils during that time.

Manchester City Vs Newcastle United

Champions Manchester City defeated Burnley 0-3 (Premier League Scores) at Turf Moor in the first game of this season courtesy of last season’s top scorer Erling Haaland’s first half brace.

Pep Guardiola’s side will now welcome a resilient Newcastle side who had to come from behind and beat Aston Villa 5-1 at Saint James’s park to start their season on a winning note.

Manchester City have an impressive 83% win rate in their last six games with the citizens winning five and drawing one.

Aston Villa Vs Everton

After an embarrassing 5-1 (Premier League Scores) defeat at the hands of Newcastle United on game week one, Unai Emery and Aston Villa will welcome Everton at the Villa park in Birmingham in the first of two Premier league fixtures on Sunday.

Aston Villa are heavy favorites in this fixture with the team from Birmingham having beaten Everton in their last six meetings which has seen Villa won five and drawn just one.

West Ham United Vs Chelsea

Chelsea’s dominance at Stamford bridge in game week one’s super sunday fixture, saw the blues earning a point against Liverpool in Mauricio Pochettino’s first game in charge, a game which they would have won easily.

The blues face West Ham United in their first London derby of the season as Chelsea hopes to get the better off their London rival after an improved Matchday one showing.

West Ham United themselves are no push over at home as they were the victors in their last game fixture against Chelsea.

Crystal Palace Vs Arsenal (Premier League Prediction)

A repeat of last season’s first fixture will see Crystal Palace welcome Arsenal at Selhurst park to wrap up week two round of fixtures on Monday night’s London derby.

Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace in the same fixture last season 0-2 (Premier League Scores), the gunners having added English international defensive midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham United for £105M showed signs of a title challenge after their opening 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest on Gameweek one.

Crystal Palace proved they weren’t to be taken lightly by defeating Sheffield United 0-1 to start their season.

This fixture has produced two goals and above in the last two seasons.
