1.30 Chester Ziggy`s Phoenix 15/8
With impressive first time out winner Balon Dor set to try to overcome a wide draw this looks a good opportunity for another dominate winner last time in the shape of Ziggys Phoenix. Ryan Moore takes over in the saddle on the Middleham Park owned Richard Hannon trained runner which is a big positive here. Tierney is bred to be useful and is a interesting newcomer but the stats say its tough to win this time up.
2.05 Chester Seantrabh 9/2 Nap
Trainer Declan Carroll does well with his runners here at Chester and he looks to have another good chance of adding to his tally with Seantrabh. The 3-year-old made a promising start to the season at Thirsk finishing behind the reposing Democracy Dilemma and whilst the latter is respected again. The combination of weight turnaround for last time and a more favourable draw just edges things for the selection.
2.40 Chester Savethelastdance 8/15
A little unoriginal here but this really does look a good opportunity for the Galileo filly Savethelastdance. The sire has a excellent record with his offspring here at Chester most notably with runners from the Aidan O`Brien yard and this filly looks to relish the extra yardage when winning a maiden impressively at Leopardstown on just her second start. Sisyphus Strength appeals at the type who will be better over middle distances at 3 and might be the one to give the selection most to think about.

3.15 Chester Adelaide River 10/3
Tactics could be crucial here both Frankie Dettori and Ryan Moore will need to be careful they are not caught watching each other in the rematch of Arrest and Adelaide River as Franny Norton who rides Chester so well will be ready to take full advantage from the front on his mount Hadrianus. With that said though I think all things being equal Adelaide River offers the best value at current prices. He has a bit to find with Arrest however I expect him to be a much better 3-year-old and given his trainers fine record in this event he is marginally preferred.
3.45 Chester Kessaar Power 10/1 Each Way
2 from 2 this season for new trainer and jockey John Egan has also been in the saddle on both occasions who has an impressive 43% for the stable. Likely to try to get across and race handy from stall 10 so won’t have things easy but that is factored into the price and appeals as the type who will just do enough and stay ahead of his mark. Ground will suit.

4.20 Chester Vaguely Park 15/8
Extremely well bred Gosden runner who showed plenty of promise on sole start last season when finishing third. Was always going to make a better 3-year-old and I like the booking of Ryann Moore who we know rides Chester so well and has a 36% strike rate with the yard in the last couple of years.
4.55 Chester Another Batt 9/2 Next Best
The selection has not won for a while however has been running respectably all the same and now drops down to class 4 level of a mark off 84 plus, we have the excellent Bily Loughane in the saddle stealing 3lbs. Has hit trouble in running on both starts this season and is going to need some breaks from stall 11 here but with a clear run and a pace to aim all looks set for a big run for this previous course winner.
