3.30 Yarmouth – King of the Plains

Likely favourite Ghara is respected, having been thought good enough too run in the Lingfield Oaks trial, but does need too prove herself on turf.
I prefer Charlie Johnson’s King of the Plains at the prices.
He made an encouraging debut at Chester in the May meeting with a 1 length 3rd to Banderas, and should improve for the good ground today. He should run better on this more conventional track after not looking to handle Chester that day.
Being by Roaring Lion out of a Galileo mare the good to firm ground should bring out improvement in him, and with Oisin Murphy on board should be going close. Murphy is 2 from 7 at Yarmouth this season (28%) .

4.00 Yarmouth – Lady Eros

Didn’t look too stay the 1m2f trip at Ascot last time, and the drop back in trip and the better ground should suit.
Originally I liked Keyser soze at a bigger price but he’s getting frustrating too back even thou he’s 7lb lower than when winning at Ascot last year.
Lady Eros is less exposed and could have more improvement in her than some of these.
John and Thady Gosden have a good record at the track and looks worth chancing in a trappy race.

5.22 Ripon – Gullane One e/w

Not an easy horse to win with but is now 7lb lower than his last win at Ripon. Well drawn in stall 7 too be able too get to the favoured near rail.
Last year he won on his third run of the season, so today could be the time too catch him.
Hurstwood could also go well from stall 10 but Gullane One is 7lb better off on their 2021 Ripon run when 3 and a half lengths behind.
Was heavily backed last night from 12/1 to 7/2 but has now drifted too an ew price so looks worth chancing.
