Nap – Secret State 2.05 Kempton 2pt win 5/2 Unibet

Charlie Appleby is notorious for starting the flat season well and the Magnolia stakes looks a good opportunity for Secret State. Gelding over the winter I think a return to this type of trip will suit and will have the assistance of William Buick in the saddle.

Next Best – Dirtyoldtown 2.25 Doncaster 1pt each way 13/2 Unibet

It`s going to be hard work at Doncaster given the recent rain resulting in a now testing surface. The selection Dirtyoldtown has won on soft gorund before so we know he handles conditions. He ran really well in September over 7f and the Grant Tuer team now add blinkers which could just bring out extra. Looks well drawn and it might work out racing prominent.

Each Way – Baradar 3.35 Doncaster 1pt each way 12/1 UniBet

Of those at the front of the market Awaal makes plenty of appeal, I like his profile for this race hitting lots of the key Lincoln trends, the draw looks fine and he was very impressive at Redcar on heavy ground when last seen suggesting he wont be in handicaps for long. That said  it might just be worth going with something who has had a few more runs under there belt given likely conditions and the one I like is the George Boughey trained Baradar. He was a really good winner here over 7f on heavy ground when last seen in November. He`s well drawn in 4 and jockey Kevin Stott could not be riding with any more confidence currently.
