The Mutua Madrid Open held in Madrid Spain is one of the biggest Clay Court tournaments of the world and it has been the host of many epic battles throughout the years and tomorrow we are expecting another one!

This morning Dominic Thiem looked very strong against Kyle Edmund in his 6-4, 6-1 win and with this win he set up a match against Stefanos Tsitsipas which will be played tomorrow. Its possibly the best match he has played since his injury and also showed much better levels of consistency. It is also worth noting that the Mutua Madrid Open is one of Thiem’s favourite tournaments as he has reached the final twice! The head to head between these stars is quite close but Thiem leads it 5-3 with one match each on Clay Courts. All these stats and recent increase in form from the Austrian suggest that we might have an epic battle on our hands and we all can’t wait for it!
