Wednesday at Monte Carlo was a day where we saw a bit everything! We had Matteo Berrettini lose a set from 5-0 love up only to come back and win against Cerundolo 5-7, 7-6, 6-4. We had Lorenzo Musetti win 6-0, 6-0 against compatriot Nardi, who now faces a much tougher test against world number 1 Novak Djokovic. To top it all off we had Daniil Medvedev who actually looked good on clay! He beat Sonego impressively 6-3, 6-2 and will now face Alexander Zverev which should be a mouth watering match! Zverev himself looked very good against Basutista-Agut winning 6-4, 6-4. American world number 10 Taylor Fritz ended Wawrinka’s hope of a deep run into this week tournament with a 7-6, 6-2 win. Also halted in hopes of a comeback week was Dominik Thiem who just couldn’t keep up the form of his previous match and ended up losing 6-2, 6-4. Other results were as follows:

K. Khachanov def I. Ivashka: 7-6, 6-2
