Barcelona Open

Once agaib we had a full and packed day at Barcelona. We saw the first match of teen sensation Carlos Alcaraz who looked impressive as ever against Borges winning in straight sets. Diego Schwartzman and Casper Ruud both had commanding straight sets win and look to be contenders to go all the way this week. Someone else to keep an eye out for is Emil Ruusuvuori. The 24 year old Fin has been constantly improving in his last outings and has shown solid play on the clay courts, yesterday he beat world number 12 Francis Tiafoe in 3 sets. With some of the big names still yet to play we still had some high quality matches yesterday where we saw Dominic Thiem and Lorenzo Sonego progress to the next round with the Italian having a much tougher battle compered to Ruud. Here are yesterday’s results:
