2pm Epsom – balon d’or

The first race at the Epsom classics weekend is the Woodcote stakes for 2yo sprinters.
Plenty make appeal but I’m drawn to Hugo Palmers balon d’or.
Impressive winner on debut when beating Sargent wilko , who won next time out.
Then from a wide draw ran a really good race at Chester.
The fact that he ran so well with the draw against him makes me think from a good draw in stall 3 he should be going really close too winning. I make him favourite so the fact he isn’t makes him a good bet.

2.35 Epsom – Fantastic Fox EW

5/1 – Betzone – Up to £60 back welcome offer

A really tricky handicap but I’m taking a chance on fantastic fox ew.
Has ran some not too had races this season on softer ground by is more effective on better ground.
Was third in this race last year off a mark of 98 , the handicapper has dropped him 5lb since then, and I’m hoping this race has been his early season target.
The excellent oisen Murphy takes the ride so we know will have his chance. Well handicapped and should go well.
